Final 2018-19 IDEA Room and Board Claim Payment Information
The 2018-19 Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Room and Board program (Revenue Code 4625) is now complete and all claims were reimbursed at 100 percent.
During the 2018-19 school year, monthly claims were paid at 90 percent to ensure sufficient funding was available to pay all claims equally. After all claims for the school year are received, an assessment of the availability of Room and Board funds is performed and a final payment is made. There was sufficient funding available this year to pay all claims for the additional 10 percent due.
The final 2018-19 school year voucher was processed by ISBE on November 26. Districts should see the final payment deposited this week.
2019-20 School Year: As in past years, submitted monthly claims will be paid at 90 percent during the year. Once all claims are finalized in the fall of 2020, final claims and proration will be calculated and paid at that time.
