The Special Education Services Division of ISBE has updated its Special Education Data Road Map. This resource is a comprehensive source of information for navigating through State and Federal special education data requirements. The Data Road Map presents the “big picture” of special education data in Illinois with a brief description of each SPP Indicator, the data systems ISBE utilizes to collect district reported data, and additional information regarding each data collection. You will also find out how these data are used to make decisions at the state and federal levels. ISBE’s intent is to give districts and special education cooperatives a better understanding of how their data drives decision making to improve results for students with disabilities statewide.
