Final 2017-18 IDEA Room and Board Claim Payment Information
The 2017-18 Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Room and Board program (Revenue Code 4625) is now complete and all claims were reimbursed at 100 percent.
During the 2017-18 school year, monthly claims were paid at 90 percent to ensure sufficient funding was available to pay all claims equally. After all claims for the school year are received, an assessment of the availability of Room and Board funds is performed and a final payment is made. There was sufficient funding available this year to pay all claims for the additional 10 percent due.
The final 2017-18 school year voucher was processed by ISBE on November 28. Districts should see the final payment deposited by early next week.
2018-19 School Year: As in past years, submitted monthly claims will be paid at 90 percent during the year. Once all claims are finalized in the fall of 2019, final claims and proration will be calculated and paid at that time.
