New 2017-18 Student with Disabilities Claim and Reimbursement Instructions
The new 2017-18 Students with Disabilities Claim and Reimbursement Instructions are now available https://www.isbe.net/Documents/sped_pupil_reim_fiscalpro.pdf. Please read through these new instructions carefully.
Notable changes include:
• We are transitioning away from references to the Funding and Child Tracking System (FACTS) in favor of using the IEP Student Tracking and Reporting System (i.e. I-Star).

• Evidence Based Funding – Sp Ed Personnel revenue offsets to staff who are included on a Cost Sheet. All full-time licensed or paraprofessionals and unlicensed staff previously reported and funded at the formula amounts of $9,000 and $3,500 must be apportioned at those same levels as they are included on the Special Education Documentation Sheet, Form 50-66B, Schedule A and Line 33 of the Program Tuition Cost Sheet (Form 50-66A). This is to maintain consistency of Special Education Program costs as the state implements Evidence-Based Funding.
