Student Analytics is a more detailed, advanced student search feature in I-Star Plus. Districts are able to:

# Show/Eliminate Search Headers
# Select Basic Filters
# Create Advanced Filters (And/Or Statements)
# Save Filters for Future Use

To access the Student Analytic section, click on Student Analytics from the Student dropdown.

Show Or Eliminate Search Headers

To show and/or eliminate any search headers, click on the funnel icon.

The grey-colored boxes are the default columns that initially appear on the student analytic parent screen. To remove any of the columns, simply click on the grey box.

Once you have de-selected the columns that you do not wish to see, you can then click on any column filters that you want to include.

Districts can also change how the columns present the desired information by clicking on the alphabetical sort icons (A-Z or Z-A).

To return to the default view, click the icon pictured below.

Click the disk icon to save the edited filters as the default view.

Once the search filters are finalized, click the blue magnifying glass to see the new student analytics search screen.

Districts may also change the order of how the headers are displayed from the main search screen. Simply click and drag the column headers to re-order. [[File:Click and drag.png|none|thumb|1314x1314px]]

Districts are able to select specific error codes when searching for a group of students. Click on the funnel icon and once more, click on the downward arrow in the Additional Filters panel.

Click on the 'Select Errors' dropdown and click on the error code(s) that you want to address. Once all error codes have been selected, click off of the dropdown menu.

Confirm that the intended error selections are now included in the dropdown menu and click the blue magnifying glass at the bottom of the page to search for that error code.

For advanced users requiring detailed reports, I-Star Plus offers Advanced Filters to build custom reports. Click on the funnel icon from Student Analytics and click the downward error in the Advanced Filters panel.

Data entry can add a variety of custom filters and/or custom groups to identify the select group of students.

If the custom, advanced filter is one that the district will require in the future, data entry can save the advanced filter by providing a title and then clicking the save icon to store.

Click the blue magnifying glass when ready to review the students that match the advanced filter(s).

Once an IWAS account is established, a district security administrator in I-Star Plus can search for any user to add/edit permissions. For instructions on how to obtain an IWAS account, click HERE.

From the Utilities dropdown, click on User Search/Permissions to see current IWAS users for the district.

To view all IWAS User IDs linked to I-Star Plus, click the magnifying glass to search.

To view a user's current roles/access in I-Star Plus, click the + button to the left of the user's name.

To delete a user's role from the current list, click on the trashcan icon and follow the prompts on the pop up box. [[File:Removerole.png|none|thumb|615x615px]]

To edit a current user's access, click the edit icon to the left side of the user's name.

Select the role that you wish to change for the user and/or the role attribute and click save.

The system will require the user to confirm the change by checking the 'Confirm Warning Messages' box before saving.
