·        Updated references to note the alignment between I-Star and information prepopulated from the Student Information System

·        Removed references to ISBE Form 34-75 Orphanage Eligibility

·  New State Charter Schools – Amandla Charter School, Bronzeville Lighthouse Charter School, and Betty Shabazz     International Charter School

·  Term Code is now required for Fund A

·        Per an August 16 Executive Order by Governor Rauner https://www.illinois.gov/Government/ExecOrders/Documents/2016/ExecutiveOrder2016-10.pdf, updated the phrase “ward of the state” to “youth in care”

·        Bilingual Special Education, Severity of Disability.  This field is obsolete and will be removed from I-Star in the 2017-18 school year

·        Eliminated reference to Exit Code 04 for high school students ages 14-16 who are considered truant

·        Added Exit Code 23 – Students who are chronically truant.  A chronic or habitual truant, as defined in 105 ILCS 5/26-2a of the School Code, is a child subject to compulsory school attendance and who is absent without valid cause from such attendance for 5% or more of the previous 180 regular attendance days
